Fringe Theory

I had numerous setbacks to my daylily adventure such as a semi load of potting mix that was not pH adjusted at mixing plant as I was told in fall of 2010, to getting sick for whole summer of 2011 and having weeds take over. This set everything back and eliminated many plants that I thought I would one day intro.
I still haven't released any but I just registered one. Would have registered several years earlier but for the problems noted above. Rich Howard has it for trial in CT. and has permission to sell crosses using it as parent.
Fringe Theory Evergreen for me in Florida but has hardy plants in its background.
I am posting several different photos of it here.

Sets seeds easily look at the pods all over, pollen good too

Been really bad about photographing my seedlings this year. Friend was visiting today to pick blueberries and saw this one and told me I should take a picture and show everyone. So I got the camera out and took a few pics. Bloom is winding down here.

I can hardly believe it is May and I only had 4 blooms open today. I usually cant count the blooms by now. These caught my eye but its too early to select anything. They are out of breeding with "Toothy".

Finally spoted a few scapes. I generally would have been a couple of weeks into hybridizing by now. What a late season.
I pulled empty pots in new seedlings area and realized losses were not so bad after all. Only 22 out of the fiest block of 400 I worked through. Still I genearally only lose a couple after they reach size in seedling trays that I pot them up. Other blocks look about the same.

No scapes at all. I generally would have had limited blooms for several weeks by now. I see they changes date for local annual daylily show by two weeks. I wonder if national AHS convention short ways north of here will have good blooms during garden visits.
I was looking over seedlings started over the winter, wow I have lost a lot of them. Not sure why, never had such huge losses in the past. Still have thousands that should bloom for first time this spring.
